Merry Cloudy Christmas!

Merry Cloudy Christmas!

Have you ever stared at clouds to see what you could see? Look at the above image. What can you find? Perhaps you are reminded of Santa’s beard. Perhaps you can make out a Christmas tree… somewhere. Perhaps this passing cirrocumulus army reminds you how quickly time can fly. The world has made it to the cusp of 2022.

Mikey and I wish you and your family a very joyful Christmas. Two of my favorite Christmas songs are “Do You Hear What I Hear?” and “Little Drummer Boy.” Both songs feature boys from the impoverished rungs of society. The children in these Christmas classics proclaim to the world that an infant has been born and that this infant will be the light of the world. The average age of the population of Niger is 15, perhaps the age of the boys in these songs. This Christmas, pray for the many church organizations that are reaching out to the boys and girls of Niger.

Clouds pass quickly across the sky, and the world is constantly changing, but Christ remains the same. Thank you so much for praying for us and supporting us throughout the year. Below are a few videos.

Blessings and Merry Christmas!

The next two videos show a traditional dance party. It took place near where we have a group of local friends who are artisans.

I shot the next videos while driving to visit two elderly women. In the first, listen for a slight tap when I am passing one of the cars. The second clip is very short. It shows a fada group, which is a very Nigerien cultural occurrence where a group of friends (usually men) sit and talk. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PiaadXsKBehXXm8piVY3d78yaKbUg9X6/view?usp=sharing
